Introduction to pot throwing evening classes

Covid -19 Notice: In order to ensure social distancing we are currently offering just two spaces for each workshop.

This evening class is designed as a fun and enjoyable introduction to the basic methods of pot throwing on the wheel. No experience required.
The evening classes take place over four weeks, one evening per week, 6:30pm till 8:30pm. Maximum of 3 people. £125 per person.
Each session will comprise of demonstrations of various techniques from clay preparation to pot throwing on the wheel and turning a foot (carving a foot into your pots).
After a period of drying out, all work will be fired in the kiln. Students can then collect their work or choose to book on one of our glazing workshops to decorate and glaze their work.
Age: 12+
No experience required.
Wear baggy clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons will be provided.
Long hair should be tied back.
Long finger nails can make throwing rather tricky!

Rent time on the wheel

After a couple of lessons often individuals just need time on the wheel to practice their skills. Wheel time can be rented at a cost of £10 an hour, minimum 2 hours.
