Introduction to pot throwing workshop

Covid -19 Notice: In order to ensure social distancing we are currently offering just two spaces for each workshop

This workshop is designed as a fun and enjoyable introduction to the basic methods of pot throwing on the wheel. No experience required.
This is a two and a half hour workshop which can take place weekdays, evenings or weekends. Maximum of 2 people. £47 per person.
This session takes the form of a demonstration of clay preparation and the throwing of a bowl and vase. Students will then take to the wheels themselves and be guided through the process of throwing a number of pots.
After a period of drying out, the pots will be fired in the kiln. Students can then collect their work or choose to book on one of our glazing workshops to decorate and glaze their pots.
Age: 12+
No experience required.
Wear baggy clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons will be provided.
Long hair should be tied back.
Long finger nails can make throwing rather tricky!

If advertised sessions do not suit, please drop us an email and we will do our best to accommodate.

Rent time on the wheel

After a couple of lessons often individuals just need time on the wheel to practice their skills. Wheel time can be rented at a cost of £10 an hour, minimum 2 hours.
