Introduction to pot throwing

This workshop is designed as a fun and enjoyable introduction to the basic methods of pot throwing on the wheel. No experience required.
This is a two and a half hour workshop which can take place weekdays, evenings or weekends. Maximum of 4 people. £57 per person. Clay and firings included.
This session takes the form of a demonstration of clay preparation and the throwing of a bowl and vase. Students will then take to the wheels themselves and be guided through the process of throwing a number of pots.
After a period of drying out, the pots will be fired in the kiln. Students can then collect their work or choose to have their pots clear glazed for £20 making them food safe and water tight.
Age: 16+
No experience required.
Wear baggy clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons will be provided.
Long hair should be tied back.
Long finger nails can make throwing rather tricky!
