Introduction to pot throwing classes

These introduction classes are designed as a fun and enjoyable introduction to the basic methods of pot throwing on the wheel. No experience is required. Saying that, we do recommend attending our one off 2.5 hour introduction class (£57) as a taster session prior to booking the 4 week classes.
The classes take place over four weeks, one two hour session per week, day times 10:00am till 12:00am, 2pm till 4pm or evenings 6:30pm till 8:30pm. Maximum of 4 people. £140 per person. Clay and firings included.
Each session will comprise of demonstrations of various techniques from clay preparation to pot throwing on the wheel, pot decoration and turning a foot ring (carving a foot ring into your pots).
After a period of drying out, all work will be fired in the kiln. Students can then collect their work or choose to book on one of our glazing workshops to decorate and glaze their work.
Age: 16+
No experience required.
Wear baggy clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons will be provided.
Long hair should be tied back.
Long finger nails can make throwing rather tricky!
